For puppies 2 to 4 months of age
One hour drop in play time for puppies. Get a jump on social
skills, learn house training, crate training, bite inhibition,
attention to name, no pulling on the leash, proper equipment
and toys. Plus lots of play time! This is a great opportunity
for you if classes are full or have already started. Only
$10 per visit, no registration needed!

This class continues to help you gain control
and make the commands you've learned more reliable, teaching self
control and better listening. Puppies should know: Sit, Down,
Stay, Come, Wait, Off, and be on their way to; Leave it, Settle
and Heel. New commands will also be taught; Stand, Place or Kennel

If
you have just adopted from the NHSPCA, you are welcome
to take advantage of free drop in session for you
and your dog. These sessions provide you a place to
get the answers you need to make the transition with
your new dog easier. You can attend with or without
your dog to ask questions, get answers and receive
demonstrations on how to fix behavior problems. Information
and an attendance card are enclosed in your Adoption
Packet at the time of adoption. Cat questions are
welcome but we suggest you leave your new kitty at
home!

Behave: For
dogs 10 months and up.
This class focuses on behavior problem
solving and basic obedience. Using positive reinforcement
methods, your dog will learn overall good manners. We'll
show you how to handle problems like pulling on the leash,
rough play, jumping and not coming when called. In addtion
we teach owners how to deal with their dog in real life
situations (such as dealing with strangers, visitors,
etc.)

Doggie
Socials
Have you ever wished you
could have "play groups" for your dog(s)? We all know
how much fun it is to get together with a group of friends and
have a good time. Well, here's your pooch's chance. The NHSPCA
is now offering "Doggie Socials" to help your dog
network with his/her community of four legged pals. We provide
the location, a trainer to be present
you provide the dogs
and human companions! This is a great way to continue to develop
socialization skills and get a tired furry friend in the process!
Please
note: To participate in "Doggie Socials" all dogs
must be socially appropriate and well mannered with other dogs.
Dog also must either be known to each other (i.e. your friends
and their dogs that already play well together) or be recent
participants in NHSPCA Obedience classes (within the last year,
having familiarity with the Behavior and Training Staff). Contact
