Guide to financial assistance programs for spaying and neutering
Why Spay or Neuter?
It is estimated that 8-10 million dogs and cats are surrendered to adoption centers each year. While New England has been very successful in reducing the overpopulation problem in our area, the problem is still very real. Euthanasia of animals still happens although less and less each year. There are many solutions that will help reduce the number of pets surrendered to adoption centers and spaying or neutering your pet is top on the list. The NHSPCA strongly encourages spaying or neutering of pets to help with overpopulation. Spaying or neutering will not only prevent unwanted pregnancies, it will also make your pet healthier and live longer. There are several assistance programs listed below.
