NEW HAMPSHIRE SPCA TEAMS UP WITH NECN and Telemundo Boston
TO HOST SECOND ANNUAL PET ADOPTION DRIVE
-CLEAR THE SHELTERS – ON SATURDAY, JULY 23
The New Hampshire SPCA today announced that it has teamed up with NECN and Telemundo Boston to host NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations’ Clear the Shelters second annual nationwide pet adoption drive on Saturday, July 23.
“We are so excited to be participating in this 2 nd Annual Event,” said Sheila Ryan, Director of Development and Marketing. “Last year we placed over 95 animals in one day, from cats and dogs, to horses and birds! It was amazing!” The New Hampshire SPCA will have a large selection of dogs, cats, puppies, kittens, small and large animals that will all be available for adoption on Saturday. All adult animals will feature a “Name Your Own Adoption Fee” value. Last year, crowds started arriving at 6am for this unique and exciting adoption event. Those interested in adoption on Saturday are strongly encouraged to submit an application for approval by Friday. Click here to download an application. You must submit the application for approval to be ‘pre-approved’.
This year’s Clear the Shelters event comes after last year’s highly successful inaugural effort, which resulted in nearly 20,000 pets finding new homes nationwide through an unprecedented partnership between the NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations and hundreds of animal shelters located all across the country and in Puerto Rico. The nationwide day of action literally emptied dozens of animal shelters across the country and inspired local communities to take action and open their homes to animals in need.
This year the New Hampshire SPCA has set a goal of adopting to wonderful homes over 100 animals in one day!
