About our Trainers and Guest Speakers


Eden Guilbault, AS BA
CPDT-KA, ABCDT, APDT, CGC

Eden is a graduate of the Animal Behavior College where she received her ABCDT Certification; as well as UMass Amherst with a BA in Psychology and Associates in both Sociology and Criminal Justice. She recently took the CPDT certification test and passed with flying colors! She has worked in the field of animal welfare/services for 10 years holding such positions as animal behavior specialist, temperament testing specialist, certified dog trainer, veterinary technician, humane educator and humane law enforcement officer. She previously taught and mentored under Kelley Bollen, renowned animal behaviorist, at Animal Alliances and the Collared Scholar in Massachusetts. Eden has taught a variety of classes ranging from basic obedience, advanced obedience, beginning agility, tricks, children's classes, and private consults. She also broadens her training experience to horses, cats, and even rabbits! Eden is passionate about strengthening the human-animal bond and shares her home with 4 dogs, 4 cats, 1 bird and 2 rabbits; all of which are shelter "alumni".

Kelly LaBossiere, BA, PFPDT, APDT

Kelly is a graduate of UNH with a BA in Sociology and a graduate of Penn Foster Career School Professional Dog Trainer program. She began volunteering with the NHSPCA as a dog walker in 2006 and has worked in the field of animal welfare/services most recently as an Adoption Counselor here at the NHSPCA! She spends a lot of time working with our dogs in our in-house training program "Diamonds in the Ruff". Kelly has taught a variety of classes ranging from basic obedience assistance for new adopters to puppy classes. Kelly has interned with previous NHSPCA Trainers as well as with our very own Eden Guilbault and has spent countless hours helping owners to help their dogs reach their full pet potential! Kelly lives with two kittes who are NHSPCA Alumni and is an excellent foster mom for some of our dogs! We are pleased and proud to have Kelly as part of our Training Department Staff.

Nadine Perry
Nadine Perry is a honors graduate of UNH with a Fine Arts degree. She has worked as a psychiatric counselor for over 18 years and has been training dogs for over 15 years. She is a certified Agility instructor from the White Mountain School of Agility run and owned by Julie Daniels. Nadine has worked her dogs in the highest levels of USDAA and NADAC earning a Master dog agility in USDAA in Standard, Snooker and Jumpers and an Elite title in NADAC with her dog Coco. She has also earned titles with her Belgian Sheepdog, Rubens, in AKC and NADAC. Nadine uses her psychiatric background and experience to help teach a gentle, positive approach to dog training believing that what is reinforced will become stronger. Nadine thinks that training should be fun and stress-free. "Making training all about games is what I seek to achieve". "Both the dog and the handler/owner should be enjoying the experience to be successful".

The NHSPCA is please do have Nadine join our Behavior & Training team, offering fun, educational and positive classes for you and your canine!

 




April Begosh


Healthy Pets NH is owned and operated by April Begosh. April is a lifelong pet owner whose pets have included dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, birds, turtles, and even snakes. For the past 15 years, April has owned and operated a private Massage Therapy practice in Concord, NH. She has been committed to providing her clients with the highest quality care and knowledge in holistic health practices. In addition to being a licensed Massage Therapist, she also holds certificates in Fitness and Nutrition.

In 2008, April decided that she wanted to be able to provide the same quality care to her animal companions as she does for her human clients. She started taking classes in pet health and nutrition and in March of 2009 she became certified to teach Pet CPR, First Aid and Care by Pet Tech, Inc. Pet Tech is the first International Training Center for Pet CPR, First Aid and Care. Pet Tech Instructors worldwide promote caring, conscientious, responsible, and loving pet ownership. Pet Tech and their Instructors are committed to the safety, health and well-being of our pets, our friends, our companions. April has committed herself to carrying out the Pet Tech mission which is “Improving the quality of pet’s lives, one pet owner at a time.”™

Bill Weiler is Certified Dog Trainer and graduated from the Animal Behavior College with Honors. He is also a Certified Pet Tech Instructor for CPR/First Aid/Wellness for Pets. He is an Associate Member of the International Association of Canine Professionals and a Member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers. Bill often is a guest speaker for April if needed.

 

Cheryl Lord, CTTP

Cheryl was drawn to The Tellington TTouch Method in the late 90's because of her desire to help animals and their human companions by working with them in a natural and nontraditional way. Training and certification takes a minimum of 2 years to complete. Cheryl's first year of training began in Rochester, NY in spring of 2000. The second year of training picked up in 2002 in Ottawa, Ontario. She received her Tellington TTouch Companion Animal Certification in 2003.

In 2006 Cheryl studied with the Equissage program in Virginia to become a Certified Equine Sport Massage Therapist. She has recently begun training for her Equine Certification.

Cheryl and her husband, Allan, share their 80 acres with their border collie, 6 cats, 2 rabbits, a goose and fish. They both volunteer with Avian Haven, Maine's wild bird rehabilitation center, where Cher has used TTouch on many species including bald eagles and ravens.
